14th Annual “WUG” at Mount Mary

The WAICU Educational Technology Consortium (ETC) recently held its 14th annual WAICU ETC Users Group (WUG) meeting at Mount Mary University, bringing together 58 WAICU ETC members from eight of our member institutions for a day of insightful discussions, networking, and vendor-led presentations.

The event, known for fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing, was another success, highlighting the power of collective problem-solving and innovation.

The agenda included roundtable conversations across a wide range of functional areas:

  • Financial Aid
  • Development
  • Business Office – Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Budget
  • Business Office – Accounts Receivable
  • Human Resources/Payroll
  • Information Technology (IT)
  • Registration, Advising, and Student Life

These roundtable discussions provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to network and exchange experiences on optimizing the Jenzabar One product within their institutions. Each participant came prepared to share streamlined processes they’ve implemented, as well as to discuss areas where the group could help them maximize efficiency and usage of the platform.

In addition to the dynamic roundtable discussions, the event featured several insightful vendor-led presentations. Key topics included:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Jenzabar Workflow
  • Jenzabar Chatbot
  • Synoptix (focused on financial reporting for the Business Office)

The presentations offered valuable information on leveraging technology, including AI, to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency across departments.

The WUG meeting continues to stand out as a platform for WAICU ETC members to stay at the forefront of innovation, engage in meaningful conversations, and explore the best practices for using Jenzabar’s technology solutions. As always, the event was a testament to the strength of the WAICU ETC community in supporting one another and driving forward progress.

We look forward to building on this momentum in next year’s event and continuing to facilitate collaboration among our members.
