Support Nonresident Students with Discounted Tax Prep & Informational Webinar
Every nonresident has an IRS filing obligation, whether they received taxable income, and independent of their visa status. Tax season can be confusing and even costly for nonresident students, scholars, or others at your institution.
Eleven WAICU members have found a way to make tax season simpler with Sprintax, WAICU’s vendor partner for nonresident tax preparation. Sprintax offers affordable pricing for online federal and state filing. WAICU members receive a discount based on aggregate volume of filings.
How it works:
- Participating member institutions purchase discount codes for the filings.
- Member staff distribute codes to nonresidents.
- Nonresidents use the code to complete their filing online and pay $0 at checkout.
The federal discount code covers full federal and Form 8843. State codes are also available.
WAICU members may sign up for the program any time before the end of the tax season.
Tax Season Guide Webinar
