WAICU Partners With CIC to Support the AI Ready Network
One of WAICU’s strategic initiatives this year is to assist members in navigating AI policies, products, and training opportunities across academic and operational aspects of campus.
As a significant first step, WAICU has partnered with the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) to advance the AI Ready network. Two hundred colleges and universities across the country are registered for the year-long program, including nine WAICU members.
The CIC provides three weeks of programming each month at the national level. On the fourth week of the month WAICU hosts a “WAICU Edition” conversation among AI Ready participants to foster smaller-group ideas exchange. At the first WAICU Edition on August 28, twenty-four participants engaged in activities and shared about their campus AI readiness.
As the CIC program unfolds, WAICU will gather and distribute key resources to all WAICU colleges and universities regardless of participation in the AI Ready program. Direct CIC membership will not be required to take advantage of these resources. Our ability to share CIC resources this broadly is a virtue of the CIC/WAICU partnership.
