2026 Summit Registration is Now Nationwide: Reserve Your Spot Today!
Now is the time to register for the 2026 Higher Education Summit Wisconsin: A National Conversation, Strategies for Policy, Compliance, and Student Success, especially with nationwide early bird access open through March 15.
The Summit will be held May 19–21, 2026, at UW–Madison’s Memorial Union.
With registration open nationwide, spots will fill more quickly than in past years. Register as early as possible to secure participation before the March 15 early bird deadline!
This collaborative event is jointly hosted by the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the Universities of Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Technical College System.
This year’s summit features a new keynote from Elliot Felix, a nationally recognized strategist whose work on creating better connected colleges and universities is reshaping how institutions support students. In his keynote, Felix will explore strengthening, belonging, improving support systems, and building collaborative, holistic pathways that help students find their people, their purpose, and their path.
We’re excited to once again also feature keynote speaker Peter Lake, professor of law and director of the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy at Stetson University College of Law. Peter’s expertise in higher education law makes him an incredible resource for both compliance and student success professionals.
The summit will also introduce several new program elements, including an experts panel on student success, a panel on immigration in higher education, and a timely session on navigating federal regulatory changes. Attendees will have access to every session, providing participants with a full and flexible learning experience and helping them stay ahead of national trends.
Additional featured speakers include Jonathan Fansmith, senior vice president for Government Relations and National Engagement at ACE, and Aaron D. Lacey, co‑chair of the Higher Education Practice at Thompson Coburn LLP.
Regular registration begins Monday, March 16, 2026, and registration closes Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
