Herzing University Launches New Cybersecurity and Computer Science Degree Programs

New cybersecurity and computer science degree programs are designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in technology and digital security.

Herzing University is expanding its academic offerings with new comprehensive suites of Cybersecurity and Computer Science degree programs. These programs, now open for enrollment with courses beginning in May 2025, are designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in technology and digital security.

The Cybersecurity suite addresses critical global threats such as identity theft, phishing, and hacking through four program options: Master of Science, Bachelor of Science, and Post-Master’s and Post-Bachelor’s Certificates in Cybersecurity. The Computer Science suite focuses on artificial intelligence, software engineering, and data analytics, offering both master’s and bachelor’s degree options.

“Herzing University is committed to meeting the workforce’s urgent need for those who can address the rising security demands and technological challenges of the digital economy,” said David Steele, chair of Herzing’s Cybersecurity Department.

The programs feature hands-on experience with real-world scenarios, access to AI-driven technologies, internships with leading companies, and targeted coursework in high-demand areas. The curriculum has been developed in collaboration with industry leaders to ensure relevance and alignment with current standards.

“By offering students pathways tailored to their specific interests and career goals, these programs equip graduates to succeed in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving job market,” said Nathan Basta, program chair at Herzing University.
