Marian University’s New President Has Boundless Energy and Strategic Vision

Marian University’s eighteenth president is Aaron Sadoff.

Marian University’s eighteenth president recently hit all eighteen holes of a local golf course—not with a golf ball—but to thank all the participants in Marian’s Alumni and Friends Golf Outing.

Since June 1st, President Aaron Sadoff has hit the ground running, with boundless energy and enthusiasm for the university where he earned two degrees, and the community where he grew up. Sadoff served on Marian’s Board of Trustees the past four years and is a two-time alumnus. He received his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Marian in 2001 and Superintendent Licensure Certificate through Marian’s Educational Doctoral program in 2011.

With a Bachelor of Science in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Sadoff has embraced Marian’s founders, the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes, whom he calls, “A group of strong women who started their own college, rather than bow to officials who said they could not student-teach in their habits.”

Sadoff came to Marian from the Fond du Lac Area Foundation, where he was executive director since 2022, managing 540 funds with more than $68 million in assets.  Previously, he was superintendent of the North Fond du Lac School District for thirteen years and a principal and educator in Wisconsin for twelve years.

“Working together, I believe we can transform Fond du Lac into a university town, where Marian University not only continues to provide a world-class education, but is a thriving hub of culture and entertainment, providing a community environment based on Catholic ideals focused on service, community, and learning.”

Sadoff is also an Army Gulf War veteran, who served as a Cavalry Scout from 1990 to 1992. He and his wife of twenty-nine years, Kelly, have three adult children, Paige, Lilly, and Ethan.

He succeeded Dr. Michelle Majewski, who retired after thirty-seven years with the university, including four years as president.
