Wisconsin’s private, nonprofit colleges consider the whole individual. Students are encouraged to contact college admission representatives who can help you explore your potential for success.
Most of Wisconsin’s private, nonprofit undergraduate colleges and universities are test optional. This means that — with a few exceptions — students can apply without submitting an ACT or SAT score.
Nationally, most colleges and universities have moved to an admissions strategy that places significantly less emphasis on test scores. As of the 2025 application cycle, more than 80% of colleges across the country are test optional.
