Nashotah House Posts Fundraising, Enrollment Gains

Giving to Nashotah House’s annual fund, which sustains its day-to-day operations, has grown by 80 percent since 2020.

Nashotah House Theological Seminary completed another strong fundraising year in 2024, raising a record amount for the seminary’s annual fund.

Throughout the calendar year, the seminary received $1.03 million in unrestricted gifts to its annual fund, representing a 5 percent increase from the previous year. Those results continue strong fundraising trends in recent years. Giving to Nashotah House’s annual fund, which sustains its day-to-day operations, has grown by 80 percent since 2020.

New partnerships played a significant role, with just under 100 first-time donors giving a combined $454,247 in 2024, comprising 32 percent of the annual fund total. Other gains came from an increase in alumni giving and support from individual churches and dioceses. Alumni giving has increased by 62 percent since 2020, while church/diocesan support has grown by 117 percent in that same time frame.

Enrollment is also on the rise. Over the past seven years, full-time equivalent enrollment has grown by 140 percent. In 2024, Nashotah House made a concerted effort to strengthen its partnerships with undergraduate institutions and bolster its recruitment initiatives.

Recognizing that many students begin theological education immediately following undergraduate studies, the seminary worked to grow awareness of its programs among colleges and universities that have faculty and students in the Anglican tradition. This work was supported by a $25,000 grant from the Association of Theological Schools.

“These enrollment and fundraising trends are remarkable, considering the headwinds facing higher education. We are deeply grateful to our donors and ministry partners for their investment in Nashotah House during this season of resurgence,” said Dean Lauren Whintah.
