Strategies for Policy, Compliance, and Student Success

Big news! In 2026, the Wisconsin Higher Education Summit and Student Success Summit are joining forces for one streamlined, collaborative event co-hosted by WAICU and the Universities of Wisconsin.

Mark your calendars for May 19-21, 2026. The event will be held at the Memorial Union on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus.

This combined summit will bring together professionals from Wisconsin’s private and public colleges and universities, along with higher education professionals from other states, for three days of learning, networking, and innovation. Two focused tracks include Compliance and Policy and Student Success, plus shared sessions that will foster cross-functional dialogue and collaboration.

We’re thrilled to welcome back Peter Lake, professor of law and director of the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy at Stetson University College of Law. Peter’s expertise in higher education law makes him an invaluable resource for both compliance and student success professionals.

Other potential topics include:

• Public perception of higher education
• Free speech on and off campus
• The regulatory compliance landscape
• Supporting student success
