Linh Anh Le is a WAICU educational researcher and data analyst with a passion for using data to create transformational impacts and support underrepresented students.

We recently shared a member survey with you to streamline efforts and offer improved services. As a result, we will be spotlighting our WAICU staff so you can get insights on our projects, services, and passions. We hope these profiles help you get acquainted with our day to day efforts and our strategic initiatives. This month’s highlight features Linh Anh Le.

Linh Anh is an educational researcher and data analyst with a passion for using data to create transformational impacts and support underrepresented students. She has worked at WAICU for more than four years. Linh Anh brings insight and passion to her position.

“I am a true believer in the value of higher education to individuals and a democratic society,” she says. “I have personally benefited from a liberal arts education, a close-knit campus community, and strong personal connections with faculty and staff on campus, having graduated from Beloit College in 2020.

“I really hope to help more people get the opportunity to thrive in an environment where they feel genuinely cared for and supported—just as I did,” she adds.

In her role at WAICU, Linh Anh:

• Coordinates the collection and provision of data for various mandated and voluntary surveys, including IPEDS, WAICU Enrollment Matters, and the WAICU Institutional Survey, to name a few.
• Compiles reports to fulfill internal and external data inquiries concerning WAICU member institutions.
• Visualizes data through interactive dashboards, printed infographics, and charts on social media to support WAICU advocacy’s efforts and promote positive messages to the public regarding values of higher education. Linh Anh also compiles the WAICU Member Annual Participation Report. She helps revamp the process of data collection/reporting, builds the database, creates reports, and works effectively to significantly reduce staff time dedicated to this project, while increasing accuracy and consistency.

Linh Anh is most proud of her work in creating the WAICU Alumni Dashboard by automating the process of collecting data from public websites. Through this process, she created an interactive dashboard to highlight the diverse career pathways of Wisconsin private, nonprofit college graduates.

When not working, Linh Anh enjoys a variety of outdoor events and fairs, visiting water and amusement parks, especially to ride rollercoasters, and learning new things like playing the guitar and piano. She also enjoys watching cat memes and videos.
